The most important accomplishment for me as a photographer is when your subject/client walks away appreciating every moment that is portrayed in your images. I want to make photos that clients will remember. I strive to make photos that will put a smile on their faces and even in their hearts 30 or more years from now when they look at the photos and be reminded how young, fun and beautiful they were.
“I think new photographers have a tendency to rely on gimmicks that are visually cool or make the image look unique. But stripped of the easy to employ techniques the images need to have value in and of themselves. Cool techniques are fine to use but their role should be to reinforce an already powerful moment. Over time technique fades and meaning deepens.”
